P.G. WODEHOUSE
The Intrusion of Jimmy Early Us Edition Circa 1919 with Rare Original Dust Jacket or Wrapper
New York, Grosset and Dunlap. 1919, Early Edition. Decorative Cloth. Ill.: Crary. P.G. Wodehouse Book - The Intrusion of Jimmy Early US Edition circa 1919 with Rare Original Dust Jacket or Wrapper.____The First Edition has for sale this rare early U.S. Edition of the PG Wodehouse book, The Intrusion of Jimmy, which is accompanied with the very rare dust jacket, which was illustrated by Crary and this book published by Grosset and Dunlap. The dust jacket has to the back panel an advertisement for the Gaston Leroux book, The Mystery of the Yellow Room for which the first edition was published in 1919 thereby dating this book.____The yellow illustrated dust jacket with illustrations and lettering in black, is in Good condition with the jacket being backed to preserve it; price clipped; wear to the edges; repair to the top left corner (back panel) and to the top of the spine. This is a very rare and still very attractive dust jacket (or wrapper) which rarely comes up for sale.____The original red boards are in Very Good condition with the red and black lettering being extremely bright, with a minute mark to the front board; small and insignificant indentation to the back board; wear to the bottom of the spine, and slight fraying to the top of the spine. These boards look extremely attractive.____There are 314 numbered pages with grey and red marks to the fore edge, otherwise internally very clean with all pages being tightly bound-in.____The Intrusion of Jimmy is a scarce early P.G. Wodehouse book that rarely comes up for sale, and this dust jacket is equally rare and desirable. Very Good/Good.
