The titlepage in black only and title without the additional "cum commentariis absolutissimis et instructissimis indicibus nunc primu`m editum" on the titlepage. This edition thus without the index which seems to go with the red & black titlepage. Precedence unknown but usually the index is the last item typeset as the book has to be printed to allow page numbering so probably the those without index are the earlier state. Some inscriptions in Greek, most in Latin many now lost or indecipherable. A very clean, crisp copy of this indispensable and monumental work.
