A very good copy, from the Easton Neston Library, with library label for shelf mark and the armorial bookplate of Sir Thomas Hesketh, Bart., Rufford Hall Lancashire on the front paste-down end-paper. The Baptist John Evans (1767 - 1827) established a seminary in Islington; he published numerous works, of which this is probably the best-known. It was first published in 1795 as a shilling pamphlet and reached 15 editions before Evans's death.
