after Habermann, Franz Xaver (1721-1796) - [Antique drawing/ tekening] Designs for a Mirror with Consolle and a fireplace (ontwerpen voor spiegel met console en vuurplaats).

Habermann was a designer of interior decorations like panels, mirrors, furniture and other objects. In two different sheets, a mirror above a consolle and on another sheet a design for a fireplace. In the latter case, a reference to the measurements it would have had to meet if constructed. These designs are copied after famous prints published by Johann Georg Hertel (1719-1768), from a set of several designs, numbered as 137 (mirror and consolle). Before 1800. Drawing on paper, black chalk, pencil, pen and black ink, washed in gray; total: 368 x 285 mm, 367 x 286 mm; despite some creases and smudges along the margins, in good condition. Some light staining on the mirror/consolle plate, whereas an extended lightly darkened area on the most external right margin, not affecting the drawing, on the other plate as if that side had been exposed to air for a long time.
