Elaborately blind-stamped and gilt-decorated cloth with gilt spine illustration of wheat and corn, 4to. This volume contains excellent hand-color plates of vegetables and cereals grown in 19th century New York. This is volume two of the Agriculture of New York. Signature of Charles Jeffery Smith on the front endpaper dated 1879. No other ownership marks. Light foxing to the appendix text pages and to the first few uncolored plates, the hand-colored plates are bright and clean, the brown cloth binding is bright and clean, overall a near fine copy..
