Full of details and anecdotes, this is a superb accomplishment. This was a very timely analysis of the Asian world in a world in flux, on the cusp of a worldwide conflagration. You must remember that Japan was in the process of a brutal attack on China and within a matter of a few years after the end of WWII, Palestine would become Israel and India would emerge from the influence of Great Britain.
