Bidermanas, Izis, - Paris Des Rëves.

Lausanne: Editions Clairefontaine, 1950. Hardcover. Wrapper with some light chipping along top edge. Former owner's inscription to front free endpaper. ; Stiff wrappers. Stunning photogravures from the Lithuanian artist Izis Bidermanas, who specialized in Paris photography. The pictures are accompanied by facsimiles of the handwritten texts of french authors including André Breton, Blaise Cendras, Jean Cocteau etc. - Henry Miller's text (apparently the only American author) on two pages is translated into French on two cards laid-in as issued. Bidermanas photogravures are among the best we have ever seen. This is the photographer's first book. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 160 pages. Very Good.
