These rates are based on an average-sized book. If your book is larger or heavier than average, we will email you with a postage quote, before filling your order.

US, and overseas surface mail, orders are couriered over the border every other week for shipment via USPS. Despite a possible delay in dispatch, this method is usually quicker, and always cheaper, than Canada Post. If you require immediate dispatch, please contact us and we can quote options.

Terms: The offer is conditional. All items are complete and, regarding their age, in good condition, unless otherwise stated. Small defects are not always indicated but have been taken into account when pricing the items. Purchases may be returned within 14 days provided there is cause for complaint. Prices are not negotiable. Invoices are to be paid on receipt of the order without deduction. The title of goods does not pass to the purchaser until the invoice is paid in full. All books are complete and in good condition, unless otherwise stated. Some wear and small defects like a name on an end paper, a few underlining, usually are not mentioned.

Orders: Prices are in Euro; handling charges and VAT incl.
Bank costs and postage are not included in prices. Books can be ordered by E-mail or telephone. We will reply to confirm availability of the book and the costs. The books will be reserved for 14 days awaiting full payment, unless otherwise agreed.
After this period the reservation will be cancelled. The property of the goods does not pass on purchaser until the invoice has been paid in full.

Payment: Customers are kindly requested to pay by bank, giro, Paypal, Visa or Mastercard.
All complaints within one week after receiving the books. Items that do not meet expectations returnable within 7 days of receipt and your payment will be refunded, less shipment costs.

Boeken worden geleverd tegen vooruitbetaling. Aan instellingen, bibliotheken en bekende klanten kan eventueel met factuur worden geleverd.


Betaling kan geschieden via bank- of giro overschrijving, via Paypal en met Visa en Mastercard.
Geleverde boeken blijven eigendom van de verkoper totdat volledige betaling van het factuurbedrag heeft plaats gevonden.
Het verzenden van de bestelde boeken is voor risico van de verkoper.
Verkoper behoudt zich het recht voor na overleg met de koper de goederen te verzekeren en/of aangetekend te verzenden. De kosten hieruit voorvloeiend worden doorberekend aan de koper.
Elke aankoop kan binnen 7 dagen na ontvangst, zonder opgaaf van reden, aan verkoper retour worden gezonden (een voorafgaande kennisgeving per email wordt op prijs gesteld), waarna restitutie van het aankoopbedrag (niet de verzendkosten) volgt.
Is de retourzending een gevolg van een onvolledige beschrijving dan wordt het aankoopbedrag inclusief verzendkosten en retourporto gerestitueerd. Books may be returned within 14 days of receipt, if returned in the same condition as sent, and packed, shipped and insured as received. We will refund the shipping costs of a return shipment only if our descriptions were not correct.

Pre-payment is necessary for new customers. Our order confirmation will provide information. Customers who are known to us and Libraries will be invoiced as usual (invoices payable within 30 days).

Shipping cost may be higher depending on the size and weight of the book and the shipping destination. International orders are billed at cost: $50.00 for a book of average size and weight, more for oversize or heavier volumes. Books may be returned within 10 days for whatever reason, provided their condition has not been altered. We request that you notify us in advance of returns.

Due to the EC-Rules governing VAT in the Single Market, VAT (6%) is charged to all customers within the EC without a VAT registration number. Those who have a VAT registration number are urged to give us their number with their order, as we are required to show the number on our invoice, otherwise VAT will be charged.

Shipping charges are by weight and equal to the value of postage. Billing is based on shipping with barcode. For fully insured delivery customers should request registered postage.

Normally you will be billed in advance; books are shipped within 2 days after receipt of payment, unless agreed otherwise.

Al onze boeken zijn in goede tweedehands staat, tenzij anders omschreven. Kleine onvolkomenheden (zoals naam op titelblad of kleine leessporen) worden niet altijd vermeld. Storende beschadigingen, aantekeningen, uitgebreide opdrachten etc. vermelden we doorgaans wel. Informeer bij twijfel naar de staat van het boek.

Verzenden Nederland

Brievenbuspost versturen we via PostNL.
Pakketpost versturen we standaard met DHL.
Andere verzendopties zijn mogelijk op aanvraag.
Voor alle verzendopties gelden de verzendvoorwaarden van het gekozen postbedrijf.
Mocht een verzending mislukken door toedoen of nalatigheid van de ontvanger (denk bijvoorbeeld aan het niet tijdig ophalen van een pakket bij een afhaalpunt) dan zijn voor een volgende verzendpoging opnieuw verzendkosten verschuldigd.


Verzenden buitenland

Bij verzending naar het buitenland kiezen we per geval de beste verzendmethode. Verzending met onder andere PostNL, DHL, Kiala en DPD is mogelijk. Kopers met een voorkeur voor een verzendbedrijf/methode kunnen die melden.

We brengen geen extra verpakkings- of administratiekosten in rekening.

Betaling

Wij vragen betaling vooraf; verzending volgt zo spoedig mogelijk na ontvangst betaling.

U ontvangt de aankoopsom plus verzendkosten retour.

Retourkosten zijn voor koper.

Als boeken niet voldoen aan de omschrijving zijn (na overleg) ook de retourkosten voor rekening van Boekhandel Louis Tinner.
