NOLAN, James. - Satellite Evolution. The evident scope of tidal friction, the meaning of Saturn's rings.

Melbourne, George Robertson 1895. Octavo publisher's cloth (a small piece chewed from the base of the spine); [2],114pp. The nibble marring an otherwise very good copy. ¶ Missed by Ferguson, though he did find Nolan's 1885 pamphlet on G.H. Darwin's theory of the evolution of the moon. Here he expands his attack on Darwin's theory of the evolution of tidal friction while he expands his scope to encompass recent discoveries of Saturn's moons.
