Several pages as yet unopened. Chapter headings: Introduction; The Approach Up River; London, The First Crossing on the Thames; London, the Port of the Thames; London and the Lower Thames in Warfare. A bookstore's small label on front pastedown, very light browning to pages in margins, one tissue guard is torn at gutter, light browning to fore-edge and bottom of text block, heavier brown hue to edges of boards and to spine.
