CHAUNDLER, CHRISTINE - Princess Carroty-Top and Timothy a Fairy-Tale of Today

London, Frederick Warne and Co. 1924. Hardcover. pp. x, 237.8vo,,Bound in original decorated beige cloth,Chaundler was a prolific British children's author. She was born in 1887 and her first work was published in 1912. Her girls' stories were published under her own name, and her boys' stories were published under the nom-de-plume of Peter Martin. She is the co-author (with Eric Wood) of 'Famous Myths and Legends / Children's Folklore from Around the World'. Our copy of this title has four full colour plates by Albert Morrow. The binding is shaken but the hinges are tight. Pages 9 to 29 are 'dented' at the top margin, resulted in tearing of some of the pages. Soiling between pages 68/69. Some light wear to decorated cloth. Overall, in fair to good condition, and priced with all faults. Ill.: Albert Morrow color illusts. Pencilled Christmas gift inscription on reverse of frontispiece.
