Else a clean and tight copy. 248pp. With portrait frontis and other illustrations. The author was an American-born journalist, writer and newspaper editor who is chiefly notable for having been in charge of the Daily Express from 1902 to 1932. Here he records meetings with eminent people, trivial and significant events and ends with the declaration of war in August 1914.
