If you feel an item has been misdescribed, please contact us within 7 days of receiving it and we will do our best to resolve the problem, or issue a full refund including return postage costs. If you return the book having changed your mind, you will need to cover the return postage yourself.

We trade books according the rules of the I.L.A.B. (International League of Antiquarian Booksellers) of which we are a member. Prices are net. Shipping is not included. We charge shipping costs at the rates of the Belgian Postal Services. In our order confirmation we state the actual costs. Books can be returned within 10 days after delivery with our explicit consent if they do not correspond to the description. As payment we only accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express. or IBAN banktransfer. For orders with a value over 500 EURO other payment methods can be arranged but this needs to be settled when placing the order. Customers of the European Community can also pay with a direct transfer to my bank account in Antwerp (Belgium). Account number: 320-0402327-41. IBAN BE 88 320 040 232 741, BIC BBRUBEBB . We handelen in antiquarische boeken volgens de regels van de I.L.A.B. (Internationale Vereniging van Antiquaren)waarvan we lid zijn. Prijzen zijn netto. Verzendkosten zijn niet inbegrepen. We berekenen de verzendkosten volgens de tarieven van de Belgische Post. De exacte verzendkosten worden in onze bestelbevestiging opgegeven. Bestelde boeken kunnen teruggestuurd worden binnen 10 dagen indien ze niet overeenstemmen met de beschrijving en na ons expliciet accoord. Als betaling aanvaarden we Visa, Mastercard, American Express en IBAN bankoverschrijving op onze bankrekening te Antwerpen : 320-0402327-41. IBAN BE 88 320 040 232 741, BIC BBRUBEBB. Un livre commandé peut être retourné s'il ne corresponds pas à la description, seulement dans un délai de dix jours après la réception et avec notre accord explicit. All books are in good condition, unless otherwise stated. Negligible defects, which can be considered as normal for antiquarian books, are not always mentioned.
Prices are in Euro incl. VAT and excl. postage and encashment costs. Despatch will be executed at the best possible way, generally by standard postparcels. Air shipment only on client's request. Seller reserves the right to register or insure the parcel at buyer's expense. Shipment is at seller's risk.
Payments by giro- or bank transfer to our bank account. We also accept Visa- or Mastercard payment by PayPal.
Orders per e-mail, telephone or regular mail will be executed in sequence of arrival. You receive soonest possible a statement of the available books and the amount involved, including the costs. Despatch only by prepayment.
Books that do not match our description can be returned within a week after receipt and after previous consentment. Returns for other reasons also after previous consultation and within a week after receipt.
Books remain our property until full payment is received.

Verkoopvoorwaarden

Alle boeken zijn in goede staat, tenzij anders aangegeven. Kleinere onvolkomenheden, die als gewoon voor een antiquarische boek kunnen worden beschouwd, worden niet altijd genoemd.
Prijzen zijn in euro, incl. BTW en excl. verzend- en bankkosten (indien van toepassing). Verzending geschiedt voor rekening van cliënt op zo voordelig mogelijke wijze, meestal per (pakket)post. Luchtpostverzending uitsluitend op aanvraag van cliënt. Verkoper behoudt zich het recht voor de goederen op kosten van koper te verzekeren en/of aangetekend te verzenden. Verzending is voor risico van verkoper
Bestellingen kunnen schriftelijk, per fax, e-mail of telefoon worden geplaatst en worden op volgorde van binnenkomst afgehandeld. U ontvangt zo spoedig mogelijk een opgave van de beschikbare boeken en de kosten. Levering geschiedt bij vooruitbetaling.
Betaling per giro- of bankoverschrijving. Visa- en Mastercardbetalingen kunnen geaccepteerd worden via PayPal.
Boeken die niet aan de beschrijving voldoen kunnen binnen een week na ontvangst en na voorafgaand overleg worden geretourneerd. Retourzendingen om andere redenen eveneens na voorafgaand overleg en binnen een week na ontvangst.
Boeken blijven ons eigendom tot volledige betaling is ontvangen.

Uw retourrecht voorwaarden
Een consument mag de koop van producten zonder opgave van redenen binnen 14 werkdagen na aankoop van het product ontbinden. Indien de consument van deze ontbindingsmogelijkheid gebruik maakt, dient hij dat volgens de op de website van Boekhandel De Slegte beschreven retourprocedure aan Boekhandel De Slegte te melden en het product binnen 14 werkdagen na de datum van ontbinding op zijn kosten aan Boekhandel De Slegte te retourneren. Het door de consument betaalde aankoopbedrag zal binnen 30 dagen na de ontbinding aan de consument worden terugbetaald. Ontbinding is niet mogelijk ten aanzien van producten die beschadigd zijn, zich niet meer in de originele en onbeschadigde verpakking bevinden, gebruikt zijn of voor verkoop ongeschikt geworden zijn.
Boekhandel De Slegte is gerechtigd om geretourneerde producten die niet meer verkeren in de staat waarin deze aan de consument zijn geleverd, dus inclusief originele verpakking te weigeren en om een eventuele waardevermindering en/of retourverzendkosten op het terug te betalen bedrag in mindering te brengen.

De volgende verkoopvoorwaarden zijn van toepassing:

All books prices are listed in British Pounds (Pounds Sterling, GBP).

We can accept payment via PayPal.

We can accept payment by cheque, but the cheque must be drawn against a British bank account and must be payable in British Pounds.

Note that where payment by cheque is requested, books will not be dispatched until we have received the cheque and are satisfied that it has cleared.

Where possible, we aim to dispatch books within one working day of receipt of payment, although circumstances may occasionally dictate a slightly slower response.

Our basic postage and packing charges are as follows:
United Kingdom: 3.80 GBP, plus 1.95 GBP for each additional item.
Europe (Airmail): 6.00 GBP, plus 2.45 GBP for each additional item.
Outside Europe (Airmail): 8.20 GPB, plus 3.45 GPB for each additional item.
Outside Europe (Surface Mail): 5.80 GBP, plus 2.45 GBP for each additional item.

Postage will be calculated individually for each order, with regard to the size and weight of the overall package, so the shipping charges above should be considered to be guidelines only.

Destinations within Europe for the purposes of the above rates are:
Andorra, Austria, Azores, Belgium, Canary Islands, Corsica, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Iceland, Irish Republic, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Madeira, Majorca, Malta, Minorca, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Spitsbergen, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City State.

Approximate delivery times from date of posting:
United Kingdom: Three days.
Europe: Usually within one week.
Outside Europe (Airmail): Usually within ten days.
Outside Europe (Surface): Varies, but allow up to twelve weeks.

Please allow at least the above times to elapse before reporting an order to us as missing in transit.

Charges are based on items with an average weight of around 350g. Where one or more items to be dispatched significantly exceed this weight we may request that the postage charge be increased to cover this. We may, at our discretion, lower the postage charge where the weight of the package is unusually low.

Where books are found by the customer to be not as described a full refund including postage charges will be provided upon return of the items in a timely manner and in the condition in which they were dispatched to the customer.

Where books are returned by the customer for other reasons (e.g. purchased in error) then the purchase cost of the books only will be refunded upon return of the items in a timely manner and in the condition in which they were dispatched to the customer.

In the event of any dispute, the matter shall be governed by United Kingdom law and regulations regarding distance selling.
