Ann Hasseltine Judson (1789-1826) was one of the first female American foreign missionaries and served in Burma for many years together with her husband Adoniram Judson. Due to bad health she had to return to England and the States for a short period in 1822-23. During that time she wrote these letters which contain information about missionary work and conditions of life in Burma. Cordier BI 303.
