The book is in Very Good- condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The book covers have some light bumping, rubbing and wear to the spine ends and corners. The bottom front spine joint has a smallish edge tear. There are a couple of white spots of discoloration to the book covers. The text pages are generally clean, though there is tidemarking / foxing to all edges (mostly to the first several pages, including the front endpaper. The book covers, in general detail, diseases relating to the urinary tract and what are now called STD's. There's a section on "Self-Abuse" (masturbation) and it's harms. The author is listed in An Annotated Catalogue of the Edward C. Atwater Collection of Popular Medicine and Health Reform. It's possible he was a proponent of Eugenics. "It has, therefore, become necessary and imperative that some well-informed member of the medical profession publish a popular treatise on the subject of procreation of the human species, and the diseases incident to the use, or abuse, of the reproductive organs.".
