London. Oxford University Press,1945., Reprint. Editorial Preface by Hubert J. Foss. Not about Beethoven or his life, but about his music. 138 pages including some bars of music and index. This was published in 1944 after Professor Tovey's death. He was sometime Professor of Music at the University of Edinburgh and started writing this in 1936, he'd revised some parts and intended to rewrite some more. Inscription on f.e.p., slightly dusty on edges, o./w. near fine. There are a few remarks made (lightly) in pencil by previous owner in margins. They're rather funny & apt, so I haven't erased them! Books are posted only after payment is received. Please say if you prefer insured post. Postage in UK is by 1st class, overseas is by surface unless airmail is requested. I post to most places in the world.

I aim to please! I describe every fault, tiny tear & blemish in a book, because I would like the customer to be pleased & content with their purchase. Some have been surprised that their book is actually better than they thought it would be! I scan most books, & if requested can send more. If a customer finds a book ordered from me is not as described, then within 14 days he can return it for a full refund, but only if I consider its in the same condition as when I posted it. He must have proof of posting, & should also notify me first.
