Dedicated in print to the actor W. Bingley by translator Heiman Binger. Binger was a representative of the Haskala in the Netherlands and well-known for his laudatory poem in Hebrew for King Willem I (1814). See Gans, Memorbook p. 310. His translation of the play of Kotzebue could well have served as purim-play.
