This must have been due to the convenience caused by the numerous brethren on the railway staff which facillitated movement and enabled brethren to pay visits to these lodges..Its members though majority were from the railways it rolls of members shows members from all walks of life: I.C.D Officers, Emmigration agents, members of the Landed Gentry, Sardars, Bussinessmen and Merchants, Dentists, Physicians, Taxidermists, Apothacaries, Personnel of Police, Hotel proprieters, Photographers, Artists, Singers, Aviators and Musicians, members from Government, Officials from Army, Navy, Mechant Marine and Shipping Co.s and also members of the white collar brigade."(sic) (Preface: H.P.Jewell).
