Uniform green half calf over marbled boards. Spines with four raised bands with gilt ornaments; compartments with gilt borders and title. Marbled endpapers. Speckled edges. The rare start of a seldom-seen early Scandinavian natural history journal. In attractive contemporary bindings. Descriptions of crustaceans feature prominently. This series was continued into the 1880's. Several plates rather foxed, text leaves usually clean. Lacking is the fourth volume of the first series, and plate III and VII in vol. II. Otherwise a very good set.
