The author, Lora Shaner, was indeed the Madam of Sheri's Ranch, Pahrump, Nevada, for a number of years following a career in the Defense Department in New Mexico. The book is a narrative journal of Shaner's experiences as the Madam of Sheri's Ranch for five years, and of the lives of the women who toil there sexually. Superior copy, gift-quality condition, inside and out, no discernible wear to the purple cloth over boards, gilt-lettered title at spine, with a bright and shiny interior. Bright and shiny dust jacket, protected, and showing moderate wear to spine head and tail, some wear to edges and tips. Cover art by Richard Despain, reproduced in full at front and rear endpapers. Signed by the author at title page, being inscribed warmly to an adoring fan.
