Boston, Little, Brown & Co, 1928. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. 270p, plates, folding map. A very good hardcover book in the rare dustjacket. The book is tight and unmarked; faint, barely noticible waterstain to the outer margin of the first few leaves else clean and bright. IN THE RARE JACKET which is rather worn but mostly complete. The jacket lacks the top two inches of its spine; it is separated at the folds and has some interior tape repair. The jacket is currently in a protective mylar cover which improves its curb appeal tremendously. A history of the polar explorations in the author's era. Greely was a distinguished US Army general and polar explorer; he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his lifetime achievements. Very good .
