Folded folio written on one side. 14.25" x 9.0", with fair SUDBURY/56 mileage, but overstruck London arrival. This letter is an enquiry regarding an alleged debt between Corke & Harris " Robert Ransom, attorney at law, was admitted to the Freedom of Sudbury on October 14th, 1829. He founded the firm of ‘Ransoms & Sons’ in 1821 in a Tudor building in Friars Street. It existed for over 125 years, until the death of his grandson, Edward Ransom, in December 1946. Robert Ransom was also Mayor of Sudbury in 1836 and again in 1839." - See Sudbury Freemen .
