Book, 1922, Good Condition: See Notes, Hardcover + Dustjacket, Approx 290mm x 220mm, 176pp + Illustrations Black paper boards with an arresting gilt and turquoise design. White cloth spine with gilt. Decorated grey endpapers. Scarce dust jacket. Book in good condition. A little wear to extremities of spine. A little rubbing and wear to corners and edges of boards. Some light soiling/discolouration to spine. Occasional crack at gutter but text block firmly holding. Very light toning to endpapers. Internally clean and free of spotting - just a little light toning to paper. Dust jacket fair. Generally rubbed and soiled. Edge wear and chipping. Some neat repairs and reinforcement to internal surfaces. Jacket in a protective film. Overall a good copy of this scarce book with its original dust wrapper. The text is that of the Globe Edition by courtesy of Macmillan & Co Ltd. After 1925 John Austen developed a more Art Deco style but this edition of Hamlet really is quite haunting although clearly and heavily influenced by the work of Aubrey Beardsley. A combination of full page illustrations with line drawings throughout. Very Good/Fair.
