Angela John - Turning The Tide: The Life of Lady Rhondda

Parthian Books, 2013. First Edition, Hardcover. Fine Condition/Fine. Firmly bound, clean unmarked pages; slight rubbing/ creasing to jacket edges. As with all of Angela John's books, this excellent biography offered me a rich mixture of history, political and social context and insight into a fascinating life. As someone who believes passionately in the value of equality, and the intrinsic worth of celebrating and utilising diversity , it is especially interesting to see how the arts and business were brought together by this remarkable woman. A recommended read for anyone interested in the development of journalism, of women's rights and the influence of Welsh culture and learning. (Reader review) 644 pages. Quantity Available: 1.
