Original binding (half leather) with a tear on the back cover, some dents and wear on the front and back cover, the spine strip is almost gone) in fair plus condition. Illustrated with b/w plates, but most of the plates and a map are missing from the book. Clean pages but aged on the outer edges, some pages are loose, page 151 and 152 is missing, the text is nice and clear, some creases, nicks, small foxing marks and slightly tainted on the edges of the pages, tear on the edge of the pages, name written on the title page. The book is in fair condition for its age with some shelf wear. 472pp including index of the Towns, Parishes and Villages, index. A collectable and scarce first edition. Heavy book(approx 1. 9 Kg). Fair.
