A single issue of this long running newsletter/magazine, containing an interview with Terry Southern, an article by William Worthy on the Stall-In; a comic spread on the poverty pavilion at the World's Fair, etc. The Realist was founded in 1958, becoming a key publication in the underground press, often using satire and subversive humor to critique American mainstream politics and culture. Founded by Paul Krassner, an American author, and member of the Merry Pranksters (as well as a founding member of the Yippies) [see Wikipedia]. GOOD condition. Moderate to heavy browning to the paper resulting in some sporadic fading to the print. Covers a bit creased and wrinkled, with several tears along the extremities. Good .
