Moonlit night scene with a young robber armed with a firearm leading away two horses. To the left a building is on fire. A woman stands in the doorway wringing her hands in despair as her husband lies wounded on the ground. Engraving on laid paper, by Cornelis Visscher (II) after Pieter van Laer, ca. 1655, sheet size: 403 x 325 mm., platemark: 368 x 293 mm., a very good and deep impression in excellent condition.
