Covers rubbed, with corners and a few spots at edges frayed; backstrip sun-faded, with chipping at top end and edge-worn label at bottom end; wormhole damage at bottom corner of first three leaves; pages cockled, and faintly to slightly toned; dampstain at bottom margin of several rear pages; otherwise very good condition. Two volumes bound as one; each volume contains two parts, and each part has a separate title page, but the parts within each volume are paged continuously. This is not the first edition, but all early editions are very scarce. .
