First edition, complete in two hardback volumes. 8vo (23cm by 15cm), xxxii, 319pp; lix, 508pp. Rebound in green cloth, gilt titling to the spines (volume 1 retains most of the original spine). This set was formerly in the library of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society, with their bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume. Volume 2 has been rebound about 5mm shorter than volume 1. Overall, this set is in good to very good condition. Publications numbers 86 and 89 of the Surtees Society.
