This is a Very Good Copy of this book in light blue cloth with black title lettering to spine,in the rare and graded Good Dust-Jacket that has a few small closed tears to edges and there is one 2cm chip along the top edge of the rear cover.Spine of jacket is sunned a little.Not clipped to the inner flap with price of 21/- net showing to spine.Illustrated with some 17 plates as called for.The book has a firm binding with no loose leaves.There is one neat previous inscription to the front endpaper.Uncommon title in it's original dust-wrapper of 1933.With some 22 Chapters plus index.Sir Robert Windham Graves was a British diplomat.Born in Parknasilla in Ireland and was educated at Marlborough College in Wiltshire.He began his career as a young inexperienced student interpreter in Constantinople in 1880 and entered the British foreign consular service shortly after.He served for many years in the Ottoman Empire.In 1912 he became a financial officer within the Turkey Government.He visited both Kosovo and Albania.This book is his account of his travels and work throughout Europe between 1879 and 1929,8vo 375pp First Edition 1st Impression [1933].
