This is a Good Copy of this book in what I suspect is it's original leather bound boards,with moroccan title labels in red to spine compartments 2 & 3 other compartments adorned in gilt.Five raised bands to spine.The book has marbled paper endpapers and pastedowns.Complete with engraved title page,half title page and xv1 pages of avertissements prior to the beginning of the Supplement work on the Voyage which has an attractive Chapter engraved headpiece.All page edges are stained red.Binding remains firm with no hinge weakness,no loose leaves.The outer boards are of course worn with age and with a darker brown stain to the rear board,corners knocked.4to 185 pp plus (xiv) table of contents to rear of volume.Contents remain clean with NO ink annotations or previous owner inscriptions etc.Uncommon and genuine First French Text Edition of 1756 Georges Anson: He was Admiral of the Fleet and a was a Royal Navy officer. Anson served as a junior officer during the War of the Spanish Succession and then saw active service against Spain at the Battle of Cape Passaro during the War of the Quadruple Alliance.. Good .
