Djakarta, Noordhoff Kolff N.V., [1950]. 23.5 x 16 cm. 499; 605 pp. Original wrappers. - Collected works of Barend ter Haar (1892-1941) posthumously published, with foreword by R. Supomo. Ter Haar became Professor of Adat Law at the Law College 'Rechtshoogeschool' of Batavia in 1924. He went on leave to the Netherlands in 1939 and was no longer the opportunity to return to the Dutch Indies. In 1940 he was transported to Buchenwald where he died in 1941. Part 3 [later appeared] is missing and concerns the 'Naschriften van B. ter Haar door R. Supomo. - Good set.
