Li Naosuke, eminent Japanese spirit and leader, statesman responsible for opening the doors to the world, and signing a treaty of commerce the 'Harris Treaty' with the United States. Li Naosuke was assassinated in 1860. - Silk on spine and hinges worn, boards firm, else a very well-preserved copy.
