Bly, Robert, - The Kabir Book: 44 of the Ecstatic Poems of Kabir.
Boston, Beacon, (1977). VG PB. Irreverent while being intensely religious, Kabir seems incredibly playful in his taunting of the sacred dogmas of his. time. Translated into English only once before, Bly has done much more than retranslate into American diction, he has breathed new life into the work of a fascinating poet. Bly is responsible for introducing many of the contemporary world's best non-English language poets to American audiences.
