The book is packed with many scale drawings of the cars and their history, an assortment of articles by various people in the field, detailed maps of the various routes. ; Oblong 8vo 8" to 9" tall; 124 pages; This book was written for the British Columbia Electric Railway aficonados. It was an interurban service that serviced most of the communities of Lower Mainland right out to Chilliwack in the early 1900s. The route to Chilliwack was particular circuitous to go around the southern limits of Sumas Lake. "the BCER assumed control of existing streetcar and interurban lines in southwestern British Columbia in 1897, and operated the electric railway systems in the region until the last interurban service was discontinued in 1958."
