Cambridge, Owner dated 1916 Text in Greek . 8vo plum color cloth on stiff boards [spine & edges sunned tips worn] Half title + pages numbered 509 - 593pp. Every page is interleaved by a blank leaf which is not paginated. The next leaf titled "Summarium Fabulae" with pages 509-530 of text in Latin. Pages 531-586 are the text in Greek followed by 587-593 dealing the the different meters of the Frogs. The blank pages have mainly English translations in ink with some pencil underlining to the printed Greek text but nothing unsightly. Thoughout the book there are printed latin and greek explanatory footnotes. The front pastedown is dated "Lent Term 1916 A.E.F. Dickinson" We have further similar items in our catalogue.
