MGM - There's Punch in Judy! Judy Garland in 'Little Nellie Kelly'

S. l. (New York), Film Daily, 1940. First Edition. Large, two-page ad, appearing on November 28, 1940, in the 'Film Daily;' 12 x 9; card stock sheet - lithographed illustration to recto, text and a photographic image to verso; decorated with an elaborate, embossed, gilt border and gilt highlights of the illustration; a small cut and a bit of wear to top edge; several light creases; in about very good condition. A beautiful and lavish publication, it advertised 'Little Nellie Kelly," the film based on a 1922 George M. Cohan show. It would be significant in Garland's career for several reasons, including the fact that it would be the only movie, in which she had a death scene. Furthermore, it was said the production would be one, where MGM would "groom young Judy for adult stardom." . Very good .
