Hartford: B. & J. Russell, 1814. 1814. - 32mo, 4-3/4 inches high by 3 inches wide. Vintage light blue boards backed with a tan paper covered spine. There is wear to the edges of the stained covers and the boards are splitting along the joints with a large piece out from the tail of the spine. The covers are nearly detached. iv, [1], 96 pages, illustrated with a portrait frontispiece. The bottom edge of the frontispiece appears to be trimmed with some loss. A large piece is out from the bottom corner of pages 47/48, with partial loss of text to 4 lines. A piece is clipped out from the rear endpaper and there is occasional scattered foxing to the darkened pages throughout. A rare American imprint. [Shaw "American Bibliography" #31738, 31931, 32960]. Only the American Antiquarian Society copy is listed, with the same pagination as this copy. Volume 1 is all that was published. Fair .
