Included are procedures for escorting ships into harbour, inspecting and unloading merchandise, confiscating hidden goods, duty-free preferences for the property of nobles, clergy and students of the University of Coimbra. Provisions for ships from Brazil are set out on pp. 47-50, with notes on the Brazilian sugar trade on pp. 54-55 and departures for Brazil on pp. 99-100.
