A speech given at the Swedish Royal Academy of Science about the Zeno brothers' travels and the oldest maps of Northern Europe. Today the Zeno brothers are mainly famous for a map (Zeno map) and a set of letters written around the end of the 14th century describing their voyages of exploration throughout the North Atlantic. The letters and the map are controversial and regarded by many historians as a hoax.
