Published on February 17, 1877, depicting Robert Richardson-Gardner (15 June 1827 – 4 January 1898), a British barrister, militia officer and Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1874 to 1890. He was also a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London. Vanity Fair was a British magazine known for its social, political, and literary content. It gained fame particularly for its caricatures of prominent figures of the time. These caricatures, drawn by renowned artists, captured the essence of their subjects with a mix of humor, satire, and artistry. .
