Published on January 22, 1881, depicting Sir Joseph Edgar Boehm, 1st Baronet, RA (6 July 1834 – 12 December 1890), an Austrian-born British medallist and sculptor, best known for the "Jubilee head" of Queen Victoria on coinage, and the statue of the Duke of Wellington at Hyde Park Corner. Vanity Fair was a British magazine known for its social, political, and literary content. It gained fame particularly for its caricatures of prominent figures of the time.
