The Light of Western Stars is a 1930 American pre-Code Western produced and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It had two directors, Otto Brower and Edward H. Knopf. This film is the third filming of Zane Grey's novel, The Light of Western Stars. Richard Arlen and Mary Brian starred. Previously filmed by Paramount as a silent in 1925. Richard Arlen (born Sylvanus Richard Mattimore, September 1, 1899[2] – March 28, 1976) was an American actor of film and television. Mary Brian (born Louise Byrdie Dantzler, February 17, 1906 – December 30, 2002) was an American actress, who made the transition from silent films to sound films. Brian was born in Corsicana, Texas, the daughter of Taurrence J. Dantzler (December 1869 – March 18, 1906) and Louise B. (August 12, 1876 – April 3, 1973). Her brother was Taurrence J. Dantzler, Jr. (August 9, 1903 – April 6, 1973). .
