Description: Oxford: 1847. Blank sheet of laid paper folded into pages. Verso watermarked with figure of Britannia, or Seated Victory, set in a cartouche, surmounted by the Crown of England. Recto countermarked "Emberlin 1847." The Emberlin family ran a papermill at Deddington near Oxford from around 1767 to 1873. 15-1/2 X 12-1/2 inches; 39.5 X 32.5 cm. Slight soiling, sunned on two edges. Overall Very Good. Note: Images have been manipulated to display watermarks, and do not represent the true color of the paper. .
