Golden, Michael - Letter to Norman Moser, and Black Market Press Flyer

Title: Letter to Norman Moser, and Black Market Press Flyer
Description: New York: Michael Golden,1981. TLS from poet, zine editor , artist, filmmaker, and long-time denizen of the NYC downtown scene Michael Golden, to poet and editor Norman Moser, thanking him for a poem sent to Smoke Signals, the zine Golden edited, which evolves into an extended diatribe about the status of artists, musicians and poets in contemporary society. Letter is typewritten on a single sheet of paper, stamped at top with the "logo" and address of Black Market Press. Signed in ink at bottom, "Bo." (for Bo Prune, one of Golden's several pseudonyms). There is a handwritten note at the very bottom: "PeeS: None of us is ever going to break even, Norm." Flyer is a photocopy of a typed original, illustrated with ink drawings, probably by Golden, but uncredited. It announces a benefit for Smoke Signals, featuring, among others, journalist Raymond Mungo and poet Michael Lally. Also present is the original mailing envelope, with the return address stamped on the back with the same stamp used on the letter. Letter and flyer are Very Good, with slight yellowing, minor handling wear at top of letter. Envelope is Very Good, with slight staining, jagged opening tear. .
