Description: Raleigh, NC: Norman Moser, 1956. Two letters, ALS and TLS, from poet and editor Norman Moser to Howard Moss, poetry editor at the New Yorker. The first, handwritten on New Yorker letterhead (upside down), is a self-introduction ("I am a serviceman just returned from 3 years overseas service in Germany .") and a request to meet Moss and discuss Moser's poetry. Also present is an envelope with printed return address of the New Yorker, addressed by hand "Mr. Moss." The second letter, a TLS, thanks Moss for meeting with him and asks for comments on poems left with Moss. A third sheet is typewritten on a blank sheet of paper punched for a 3-hole binder, with comments on Moser's poems. it is unsigned, and it is unclear whether it was typed by Moss himself, or is a copy. All three letters are in Near Fine condition, with no fading, but some slight creasing. .
