Noack was born in Germany in 1833, but spent his most productive years in Italy, especially Genoa, where he settled around 1861. The city of Genoa purchased Noack's complete archives of negatives in 1926. Photograph is in Near Fine condition, with no foxing, little fading. Mount is slightly bowed, corners slightly bumped. .
