Boards with scuffing and one small tear to lower board, light edgewear, and some creasing at joints and spine; interior with foxing and uneven toning, both mostly very light, with paper thinner and more heavily toned at title page, preliminaries, and some additional pages in vol. II; pages with occasional small mark, tear or light grime, with expected offsetting, and a few leaves with a tiny burn hole or mark; H3 with 1 1/2-in. tear and 2T1 with 1-in. tear at outer margin; plates foxed otherwise near fine; an attractive and very good volume...
