Reich married poet Sergey Yesenin and had two children with him, one of which was Konstantin. After their divorce, she married the theater director Vsevolod Meyerhold, who adopted the children. In 1939 Meyerhold was arrested by the NKVD, and she was brutally stabbed in her apartment by NKVD agents who staged a robbery..Valentin Kataev, a writer, journalist, dramatist, prose writer, poet and scriptwriter was born in Odessa in 1897..Yury Karlovich Olesha was a Russian and Soviet novelist.
