Titre daté de 1568 avec les mots "La pratica" dans un cartouche et le colophon daté de 1569 (voyez Harvard p. 59). L'ouvrage est copieusement illustré de près de 200 GRAVURES SUR BOIS, avec trois grands bois de scènes de théâtre (Tragico, comica et satirica). Les pages 9 à 16 et 185 à 195 sont manquantes, un feuillet restauré avec manque de lettres, taches éparses. Accidents à la reliure avec manques, usures, dos refait.. A poet, printmaker, and teacher, Henri Focillon formed generations of art historians.. The library then went to his son-in-law Jurgis Baltrusaitis (1903-1988). Jurgis Baltrušaitis (May 7, 1903 – January 25, 1988) was a Lithuanian art historian, art critic and a founder of comparative art research. He was the son of the poet and diplomat Jurgis Baltrušaitis. Most of his works were written in French, although he always stressed his Lithuanian origin. After Lithuania was occupied by the USSR in 1945, he served as a diplomat in exile. .
